Mankato United is a volunteer-driven organization. We have a number of open positions on the board. To apply, send an email to the club president at president@mankatounited.org . PRESIDENT The President is a member of the Mankato United Soccer Club. The club provides a safe and enjoyable opportunity for boys and girls from the greater Mankato area to play recreational and competitive soccer. The President’s mission is to maintain excellent communication and facilitate the core missions of the Mankato United Soccer Club. The President is responsible for leading the executive committee and the board to ensure committees and board positions are filled and functioning. Duties and Responsibilities The President oversees the overall direction and management of all administrative and operational functions. The President works with the club vice presidents, treasurer, registrar, and committee chairs to improve the delivery of services to our players and coaches and create efficiencies in order to maximize club value while maintaining or reducing costs. The President, in coordination with the treasurer, prepares the Club’s budget with sound business practices and fiscal responsibility to achieve the mission of the Mankato United Soccer Club as established by the board of Mankato United Soccer. The President ensures committees and board positions are filled and functioning. The President works with the executive committee to develop or adjust the Club's goals and mission. The President works with the executive committee to manage independent contractors (e.g., Director of Coaching, Referees, and fields). Ensure complaints are managed within pre-established guidelines without compromising the Mankato United Soccer Club’s goals and missions. Other Duties Lead scheduled board meetings. Attend appropriate MYSA meetings. Lead the annual meeting provided to members. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience 1Strong integrity and ethics, excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communication across internal and external groups. Self-motivation and ability to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem solving. Supervisory and leadership skills to effectively coordinate complex operations. Very strong computer skills. A good understanding of the beautiful game of soccer. SoccerFest Tournament Director The director’s primary responsibility is managing SoccerFest, including registration, scheduling, and staff. The director coordinates with the City of North Mankato for club tournaments, works with the marketing/publicity director to promote tournaments, and submits appropriate tournament-sanctioning documents to MYSA. Coordinates with the City of North Mankato and District 77 on fields for the tournament. Submits tournament sanctioning documents to MYSA. Builds tournament brackets and communicate tournament information to teams. Work with Referee Assigner. Makes recommendations to the board on plans for the tournament. Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteers are available for tournament operations. Order tournament and field-related supplies. Attend board meetings. Community Outreach Coordinator The director is responsible for community outreach to under-represented groups, including players, from multicultural backgrounds, within Mankato United Soccer Club and the greater Mankato soccer community. The director will develop initiatives and relationships to expand diversity and inclusion within Mankato United Soccer Club and the greater Mankato soccer community. The coordinator serves on the board of the club.

Caswell North is a city park of North Mankato and follows rules and regulations established by the city and the Mankato United Soccer Club. Dogs are not permitted in the complex. Players are not allowed to warm up inside the 18 box to protect fields for the entire summer and fall seasons. A goalie can use the backside of a net to warm up (the back is the same size as the front). Driving or parking on the grass is prohibited. Glass containers are prohibited. Bonfires are prohibited. Snowmobiles and ATVs are prohibited. Audio devices must respect reasonable use of the park by others. Golfing is not allowed.
