ELKS SOCCER SHOOT
June 29-30   2009
Land of Memories Park
4:30 -7:00 P.M.
The Elks Soccer Shoot Program for grade school and junior high girls and boys will be held in Mankato, June 29 and 30 at Land of Memories Park from 4:30 – 7:00 P.M.  

Boys and girls will participate in age-appropriate soccer kicking skill tests and those that achieve top point totals will advance to the regional final in Owatonna on Saturday, July 18, 2009. 

The three age groups for boys and girls are

  • Age 8 and 9
  • Age 10 and 11
  • Age 12 and 13

ELKS SOCCER SHOOTSPECIAL SOCCER GAME!

You’re invited to a special soccer game July 19th, Bethany Lutheran College game field, 6:00pm. The Minnesota Thunder Lightning U-18 girls (top girls team in Minnesota) against the U-19 Backanaas team from Malmo, Sweden.
The Backanaas team is coming to Minnesota and home staying with the Mankato U-19 Storm team after the Strom team visited Sweden last summer. Meet the Sweden team and parents and find out about your opportunity to visit Sweden next summer.

Bethany Lutheran College, men’s soccer coach, Rob Pipal and the Mankato Storm U-19 girls coach will have prices and information to organize your trip to Sweden in 2010. U-19 Storm players will have pictures for you to see and will answer questions about their trip last summer to Sweden, Iceland and Denmark.

Guaranteed to be a great game and get your team started with the information needed to plan your trip to Sweden.

Plan Ahead! Evaluations for the Summer 2010 season for U13-U19 is scheduled for Sunday, August 16. A full schedule will be posted at a later date.

New Soccer Complex in North Mankato!

The City of North Mankato, School District 77 and Mankato United Soccer will be developing a NEW MANKATO UNITED SOCCER COMPLEX in North Mankato. The complex will be placed next to the new elementary school in upper North Mankato. A field drawing (Developed by the I&S Group) is currently being reviewed by District 77, The City of North Mankato, and Mankato United Soccer Club.

To keep all coaches, parents, and players on the "same page" with expectations, the MUSC board has developed guidelines for all coaches, parents, and players.

 

MUSC encourages the participation of all young people wishing to play soccer, regardless of means. If you know of a child who wants to play and finances are a concern, please don't hesitate to contact the club at mankatosoccer@hotmail.com
