· SW report by Rick F. SW District will be July 15 – 17 to avoid date conflict with the Schwan’s Cup tournament which is the following week. · Representatives of other clubs thank Mankato, New Ulm, and Redwood Falls for hosting neutral site games in 2004. Hosting neutral site games are a billable item to help pay for referee fees and field maintenance. · The MYSA’s annual Winter Symposium will be Saturday, February 26 at the Plymouth Dome. · The annual SW Symposium will be Saturday, April 2 at Dakota Meadows, North Mankato. · The Premier/Classic 1 Round Robin will be replaced this year with a simpler promotion. Premier teams that earn 25% or fewer of the total points possible for their leagues will be relegated to Classic 1. Vacancies in the U15 – 19 Premier leagues will be filled by the Ca league winner that advance farthest at the MYSA state tournament. The goal is to avoid schedule conflict with ODP camps. · Kris E. reports that registrations are coming in. Risk Management forms will need to be completed by coaches in the spring. |

· Chris M. and Mandy B. presented the MSU soccer camps and coach training sessions. Would like to have more trainers (MSU soccer athletes). · Goal to have more coach involvement this year. · The U17 girl and boy teams still need coaches. |
Proposal included June soocer camp brochures and handout of training sessions with prices included.
Hoping to obtain a couple of coaches from Mankato State University.

· There are 7 girl and 12 boy competitive teams. Numbers of players per team given. The younger girl teams have larger numbers than in the past few years. The U 17 girl team numbers are small. It is uncertain of the U 17 boy team status at this time. · Suggest board members to think about fall evaluations differently. Still over two days but less team tryouts. |

· Thank you to all that participated in the Youth Activity Fair. · Adopt a Highway will begin March 20, 2005. Certificate for Adopt a Highway sent to MUSC. There is also an instructional video. · MUSC magnets are available with logo, website and contact number. Plan to distribute at February registration. · Planning a fundraiser at Ray’s Market April 2nd 8 AM to 12 noon but will reschedule because of the SW Symposium is that same day. · Planning to revise apparel form and will include jacket. · Bethany student will be involved in promotional activities. · Uniroyal certificates promotional for soccer balls are available again this year. |
Participants need to be greater than 12 years old with parent. First shipment did not have contact number so additional order was provided at no cost (total of 4000 magnets)

Referee Clinics · Peter J. |
· The goal is to have a two day entry and one day re – certification class. · Would also like to have at the SW Symposium an instructor class for Grade 9 referees. Students must be 18 years or more and refereed for 3 years or more. |

New Business Indoor Play · Leonard W. and Paul G.

· Terrace View Tennis Building has proposed the building also be used for soccer play. The playing space would be 65 by 110 feet. The price is a single court for $14 per hour. |
Paul G. had a team practice there and it seemed to be a workable option. Paul G. and Leonard W. will gather more information about availability of dates and times. |

· Possible funding for goal posts, netting, and kick board up to $1000 available. |
Applied for goal net and kick board for U12 age group. |

Paint Machine · Ron E. |
· The MUSC paint machine needs repairs. |
Approved money for equipment repair. Ron E. will also get 3 bids from various paint suppliers for the season. |

· Goal post in poor repair at city park that is used by the U16 boys. It needs netting and to be anchored. |
Leonard W. has extra used netting. Jim R. will mention this concern to Community Services and if can be maintained. |
