Rec Plus

Bert B./Rick F.

·         Saturday, June 10 will be SoccerFest at Land of Memories.  There will be a wedding celebration that day at 4:30PM which means the Floyd Robert building will be in use all day. Play schedule is pending.

·         SoccerFest registration fees proposed.

·         Rec and Rec Plus teams established, however, some teams may need to align with St. Peter and Lake Crystal teams to have enough players and teams for games.  Most games will be Friday and Saturdays and possibly a few Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The plan is not to play on fields too close to the building. SoccerFest should be over by 4 PM.  Parking space next to the Frisbee Field may be used if needed as a last resort.

Paul G. made a motion to accept 2006 SoccerFest registration fees as proposed and seconded by Paul J.; motion carried.

·Fields

·         District 77 Dakota Meadows Middle School (DMMS) has renewed interest in developing the fields for soccer using the same design as presented by Jim R. last month and discussed 2 summers ago. This is a development of 4 fields. There will be no baseball fields because of the proximity of Caswell Park (across the street). The development will begin this summer and will be ready for use by Fall 2007.

·         MUSC is committed to field development to the District 77 in an equitable approach.
