Treasurer’s Report

Jerry B.

 

·         Reviewed projected MUSC budget for 2007. Changes were suggested. Jerry will rework the budget.

·         CD is 10/8/06 and was reinvested at a rate of 5% for 5 months.

Motion to approve report by Jerry B. and seconded by Marv D., motion carried.

Motion to approve budget and seconded by Jerry. Move to adopt budget was defeated.

Jerry will present 2007 revised budget at the January meeting.

Secretary’s Report

Candy MK.

·         November minutes will be presented at the January meeting.

 

Southwest District Representative

Mark Defor

·         2007 regional rep for boys and girls will be Peter Jarnstrom.

·         There will be no Southwest symposium at Mankato. Instead MYSA will have a winter symposium on Feb 2nd and 3rd.

·         Southwest District tournament will be held in Fairmont.

·         Southwest District will have more competitive teams (even ages)

·         PACT program being planned in St. Peter

 

V.P. Administrative

·         Competitive team presentation. Competitive player numbers are up around 30%. An increase of 12 teams.

Individual and team letters will be sent to players the first of the year.

Registration

·         All individual information was entered into MYSA data base

·         Registration form came in more efficently than the past.

·         Teams and Coaches must be sent to MYSA March 12th

·         Rec (Ages 5 to to 8)and Rec+ (Ages 9 and 10) signup is Feb 10th at Scheels form 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

·          

Jack will update Rec and Rec+ forms on the Web

V.P. Development

·         Coaches Library information was ordered

·         Plan to attend Coaches meeting in  Kansas City

·         Proposed working with Mandy Brettingen to develop teaching modules for coaches

Paul moved to have Mandy Brettingen and Josh Green develop age appropriate coaching modules. Second by Todd M. Approved.

Need coaches for 3 teams at this time.

V.P. League Play

Marv D.

·         The All City Soccer Teams were in the Free Press. Changes for 2007 are to obtain more prizes and publish earlier. 

·         Along with all city winner published, please include referee of the year winner.

 

 

 

 

 

Fundraising/Publicity

·         Rec and Rec+ Spring registration will be at Scheels.

·         Working with Free Press to promote registrations.

·         Thanked Rick and Bert for support in transition.

·         Report plan for Soccer Fest tournament

·         U08, U10, U12, and U14 teams

·         Consider adding a tournament director to the staff

·          Suggest using Anderson field for U14 games

·          Continue to have skill areas

·          Suggest registration fees are U08 = $80; U10 = $120; U12 = $140 and U14= $180

 Ref Fee’s

·         Rick Fleming Reported on Referee Fee’s.

·         Fees are consistent with the levels paid in the metro and Southern Minnesota.

Jerry moved to maintain referee play levels. 2nd by Dan O., motion approved.

Tournament Reimbursement Fee’s

·         Tournament cost continue to increase Most are around $300

Kris moved to increase the Fee to $300/team/season. Ron 2nd. Approved.
