· MUSC will uphold the “no pay, no play” guidelines for MYSA registration. Coaches need to remind player about funding available with completion of required club forms demonstrating the need. · Report of income and expenses given. |

· August minutes reviewed with one correction in SW District regarding thank you note. |

Southwest District Representative Todd M. |
· SW District meeting was August 20. · Fairmont has expressed an interest in sponsoring districts. · A new girl’s director is needed for SW District. Tim Rollins term is ending. The position is a 2 - year term with 15 meetings a year. · The Mankato U13 girls team can play C2 or C3. · Red Card results for the season was, girls = 0 and boys = 6. Cards given were at the older team level and less than year. |
The question was raised if they have access to referees. Todd M. will ask this question at the next meeting. Anyone interested in this position, please contact Todd M. After the MUSC October evaluations/tryouts, people will have a better idea about numbers and skills. |

Motion made by Rick F. to accept Warren Sandmann as new board member; seconded by Bert B., motion carried. Position will by offered by Paul G. and to work with Mark D. for Rec Plus. Rick F. and Bert B. will mentor this fall if position accepted. |

· Reports that Rec U8 boys team still open for more players. The Competitive U11 and U13 boys teams both one team each are full. Rec team report tonight by Ken A. |

· All the fall league teams have coaches. Already have had a coach meeting. MSU consultations already used this fall by coaches during practice. |
Encourage Rec/Rec Plus players to attend MSU development clinics. |

V.P. League Play Marv D. |
· Evaluations/Tryouts will be Saturday, October 28 at the MSU soccer fields behind Gage Towers. · Paul G. presented the cover letter for Evaluations/Tryouts presented and reviewed. Discussion whether the event is an evaluation or tryout. For the younger teams it is an evaluation, but for the older teams, U13 and up, it is more of a tryout especially if there is more than one team for an age group. · All City Soccer Team Banquet planned for Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Mankato Country Club. Planning Committee includes Marv D., Jack L., Paul G., and ……? |
Jack L., Marv D., and Paul G. will finalize cover letter for the Evaluation/Tryout day. Jon D. and Marv D. will be arranging for 6 evaluators for the day. If evaluators come from the Cities it costs more, $200.00 and if from Mankato, $125.00.
Board members will be invited this year. |

· Recommend to Dan O. to arrange box lunches with sub sandwiches for the volunteers and evaluators October 28. |

· There was a problem with getting the referee list submitted and the first few in-house games were without referees. Parents did accommodate the need. · MUSC does reimbursement for tournaments. What other info do you want Rick and Bert? |

· Total of 56 players (a little under last year) with 8 teams. There are 4 fields at Land of Memories for play. |
Recommend future considerations for more accessibility and communication (suggest using email) about soccer play at this level such as where and when for getting players involved. |

Old Business · United Way Ron E. |
· United Way has the annual “kick-off” for fundraising campaign September 8 and invites MUSC to participate and club to provide a table. |

· Paul J. and Ron E. have keys. Storage unit behind Rickway Carpets in North Mankato already being used. |
Jack L. will contact interested volunteers (as noted on registration forms) regarding equipment manager job. |

· Requests to MUSC continue to come in from other groups beyond MYSA organizations, to play at Land of Memories, a county park. |
Continue to monitor for any conflict in scheduled MUSC play. Policy for use of equipment (goalie) and fee may need to be considered. The playing fields are also groomed by MUSC. |
